Idenyi Onaji-Benson is an Associate Business Development Consultant at Fortunegate Consulting, and Lecturer in the Department of Economics, Federal University Lafia, Nigeria. Prior to joining academia, Idenyi worked with a number of organisations within the financial services sector including; Guaranty Trust Bank, Nigeria and the Royal Bank of Scotland in the UK. She also served as an Enterprise Officer at the Bureau for Public Enterprises, the agency charged with the overall responsibility of implementing the policy on privatisation and commercialisation in Nigeria. Idenyi was educated at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria where she obtained a B.Sc (Hons) degree in Economics; M.Sc in Economics and Econometrics at University of Essex, UK, and is currently a doctoral researcher at the Gordon Institute of Business Science, South Africa. Idenyi has a keen interest in Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Development Economics, and International Business. Her key technical skills include; facilitation, public speaking, human capital training and development, research, economic and social regeneration. She has presented her work at several international conferences; her paper on Foreign Direct Investment in Sub-Saharan Africa received the Best Track Paper Award at the 2014 Academy of International Business (AIB) Sub-Saharan Africa conference. Her earlier publications and the forthcoming have appeared in a number of international journals. Idenyi is a founding member and Treasurer of the AIB Sub-Saharan Africa Chapter.
